Steam JuicerSteam juicers have been around for some time, but until recently they were all made of aluminum. They are structurally simple, virtually unbreakable, and use only water and heat always readily available; simply a three-layered contraption that holds the fruit in the top sieve, over the collecting pan, with hose attached, which sits on the bottom pan that is full of water. A steam juicer uses hot water to extract juice from fruit. This makes extraction easy without the need to crush and press. An added advantage of steam juicers is that they can be used for blanching, steam cooking of meats and vegetables. I suggest you Cook N Home 9-1/2-Quart Stainless-Steel Juicer Steamer ![]() With a 9-1/2-quart capacity, this juicer steamer offers plenty of room for high-volume juicing, measuring approximately 12 inches in diameter by 14-1/2 inches tall. Simply add fresh fruit in the top container, fill the bottom container with water, and bring to a boil on the stove top. The resulting steam gently extracts the juice, which drips into the center pan where it can be collected from the surgical-quality tube. Drink the vitamin-rich juice fresh, or save it for making jelly or syrup. Without the center pan and tube, the juicer steamer can also be used to steam vegetables on the stove top. Ruggedly built, the juicer steamer features gleaming stainless-steel construction with a bottom that consists of a layer of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel for fast, even heat distribution. Side loop handles on each of the three vessels help ensure safe, secure transport, and its secure-fitting lid with a loop handle helps keep in heat, moisture, and nutrients. Instructions and a recipe book come included. Personally, I love this juicer! I plant a lot of tomatoes and can them in sauce, spaghetti sauce, soup, etc.... Before my steam juicer I had to boil the tomatoes and then run them through a sieve and then cook them again to boil of some of the excess liquid and thicken the sauce. This left the tomatoes tasting a little over processed (and sometimes even a little scorched) and took hours and hours to do. With the steam juicer, the excess juice is already removed and when you put the remaining tomatoes through the sieve (I use my kitchen aid mixer attachments) the sauce is perfect just the way it is. It works on most fruits and sure beats all that mashing and straining. To use you just wash your fruit, load it in the top pan, put water in the bottom pan and drain off the juice, as it appears, out the tube, from the center pan. I have used an older aluminum steamer for several years, but I'm happy with my upgrade to stainless. I have made several different kinds of juice with whatever kind of fruit was ripe in the garden. I love it so much I even got fruit out of the freezer that I wanted to process but never had the time to last year. I can't wait for the grapes to be ready. Very easy to use and the juice comes out clear and without any effort. I dilute the juice concentrate with water for our breakfast juice and I know it will pay for itself in a short time. This is a wonderful way to make healthy juice for your detox diet program without the effort and trouble of conventional juice exctraction. Return from "Steam Juicer" to "Best Juicer" |
