Lemon Detox Diet and Foods

by Scott
(Canada)

I am interested in the Master Cleanser or Lemon Detox-drink. In the past I have used it without eating food but I am interested to know more about how to use it with food. Could you give me some guidelines for a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner? Foods to use during the day.
I wasn't sure from the article if lunch was the only meal for the day.
Any help you could share I would be very grateful. Thank you.
Much joy and ease.

Peace and love

Master Cleanser Solid Foods
by: Nicole

If you look on the internet about the original master cleanser lemonade
diet, all you are supposed to drink for a minimum of 10 days is only the
liquid concoction (no solid food).
But doctors say that you dont have to abstain from solid food eating for this mixture to be good for you! You of course should be eating light such as fruits and vegetables but you dont have to spend the whole 10-days of the diet without solid food.

Lemon Detox Diet and Foods
by: Scott

Thank you, very much for the information. What foods would you recommend besides fruits and vegetables? Is there anything that would be okay and helpful for the cleanse? grains, nuts/seeds, beans or legumes?
I appreciate anything you can share. Thank you.

Legumes, Citrus and Banana to Detox
by: Scott

Thank you, for your answer. As for vegetables should they be cooked or raw or both? And as for fruits are there some like citrus or bananas that should be avoided do you think?
And also when you say legumes can you tell me what is included or what are we talking about when we say legumes?

Legumes, Citrus and Banana Detox
by: Nicole

Personally, I add both raw and cooked vegetables to my diet so I get the benefits of both. By eating a fresh salad with a variety of vegetables you can benefit from the health benefits of raw vegetables. Follow up your salad with various forms of cooked vegetables. By doing this, you can derive the maximum benefits from the vegetables you eat.

Acid fruits in general cause strongest detoxifying effect. Especially (red) grapefruit and lemons are detoxifying. Citrus fruit is all acid fruit but also tomatoes and pineapples are acid fruits. If you are intolerant to some citrus, simply exclude them.
Be a little-bit careful with the acid fruits when you are ill. Your body is already very busy detoxifying and when stimulating this process it could cause an over-reaction of your body to clean itself even more and could make you even feel worse for that moment.

Banana has a lot of pectin is a very good cleansing diet and detox diet. It will absorb water in colons and lubricate colons at the same to promote movement and perform colon cleansing.

Legumes are simply all types of beans, peas, and lentils.Legumes are the best source of fibre of any foods. They help to stabilize blood sugar. They are also high in potassium, a critical mineral that reduces dehydration and the risk of high blood pressure and stroke. One legume, soy, is particularly good for burning fat. Isoflavones found in soy speed the breakdown of stored fat.
Eating legumes as a source of protein instead of meat is also a good idea because legumes are high in fiber.Replacing meat with soy products and other legumes, such as cooked dried beans and peas and lentils, increases life expectancy.

10 days Lemon Diet
by: Scott

Thank you, Nicole, you are brilliant. One more clarification. On the Master cleanser then it would be alright to eat both cooked and raw vegetables? and 10 days is a good amount for a cleanse?
Peace and love

Lemon Detox Diet Variation
by: Nicole

Most Master Cleanse Practitioners won't recommend less than 10 days. 10 days is a great achievement since the body cleanses and renews the bloodstream. This variation of lemonade diet, include raw and cooked vegetables.

Strict Lemon Detox Diet or not?
by: Scott

Hello and Thank you, for all your answers. They keep prompting more questions so If you would allow me to ask. I looked on the internet about the Master Cleanser and most every site said to have the cleanser only during the cleanse, so, I am wondering of the idea of eating on the cleanse and like you had shared, legumes, fruits and vegetables and yogurt. Would eating on the cleanse disrupt the cleanse? Would the cleanse still be beneficial if one was eating what I just referred to? Would there be any possible problems or harm if one ate while drinking the cleanser? I am thinking perhaps it wouldn't be as effective and thorough as the strict cleanse but could it still be helpful?
Thank you, for all you share.

Lemon Detox with fruit, legumes and yogurt
by: Nicole

With this strict regimen, it is believed that the body should be rid of harmful toxins in the body, as well as losing weight. However, from my experience, the diet lacks many of the important vitamins and nutrients that are necessary for the body. You do lose weight for certain, but in return you are rewarded by massive headaches and constipation, due to the lack of food passing through the body. Personally, I prefer a less restrictive detox diet, including some healthy foods, such as fuits, legumes and jogurt; it works very well for me!
