Intestinal Parasites

Intestinal Parasites Informations
intestinal parasites

Intestinal parasites are unicellular or multicellular living organisms, that populate the gastro-intestinal tract in humans and other animals.

There are about 170 varieties of parasites circulating in the body, sometimes they enter the intestine through the mouth (water, food, medicines, vaccines). Passing by intestinal osmotic barrier, they are conveyed through the blood in the whole body.

At present, their presence is diagnosed in a small percentage of cases, for three reasons:
  • 1. symptoms are very variable, and it is very difficult to recognize a diagnostic framework
  • ;
  • 2. worldwide, for some inexplicable reason, it's not given importance to this phenomenon, and doctors rarely have experience
  • ;
  • 3. in the world there are few laboratories equipped to test the different parasites, and the protocols used are largely ineffective
  • ;
  • 4. The life of the parasite takes place in several stages, and generally they are found from the analysis only in adult form, which is detectable in stool or perianal area for only a short time.

  • The danger of these parasites is easily understood considering that the gut is the key of the immune system that should protect us from the assault of the invading germs. These parasites are able to make "holes" on the intestinal wall, from which the toxins may pass directly into the bloodstream (poisons for us).

    Symptoms of Intestinal Parasites:
  • allergies
  • anemia
  • bloating
  • chronic fatigue
  • constipation
  • decreased efficiency of the immune system
  • diarrhea
  • eczema
  • enlarged lymph nodes
  • excessive appetite
  • fever
  • flu symptoms
  • bruxism (grinding teeth in sleep)
  • ,
  • irritability
  • muscle or joint pain
  • nervousness
  • rash
  • red eyes
  • sleep disorders
  • weight gain or loss
  • .

    Almost all the staff responsible for parasites common in our area may be identified n the stool in the form of eggs or larvae. Unfortunately, their identification is not always easy. The stool samples on which to perform the investigations should be at least three and collected on different days because many parasites are removed periodically from the intestine.
    Faeces should be sent to the laboratory for the analysis immediately after collection. If this is not possible, samples should be preserved in polyvinyl alcohol. Moreover, the microscopic examination of stool can be done with various methods, and not all are equally effective for identifying a type of parasite.

    It appears that the substances emitted by parasites, combined with the poisons that usually are introduced into the body, such as food preservatives or other chemicals, create new compounds, highly irritating to the cellular level.
    Currently, it seems impossible, but there are children and adults suffering from intestinal parasites, usually roundworms. In children, the phenomenon occurs with pale face and bruxism.

    An important work done by Spanish researchers (Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology 2000 (Jan, 105:178-181.) demonstrated that often the food allergic reactions are actually not due to a reaction to the food, but come from intestinal parasite, which accentuates the mechanisms of inflammatory response, and determines reactions similar to those of allergies or intolerances. This highlights the close relationship between the increasing hypersensitivity existing in the population and intestinal conditions. What we eat, and the conditions of the bowel can cause inflammatory diseases.
