Homemade EnemaCleansing Enemas, wich are retained for only a few minutes, are used to flush and cleanse the colon and to relieve constipation. Enemas should never be used if there is rectal bleeding. Enema with Lemon JuiceThe Lemon Juice cleansing Enema is great to cleanse the colon of fecal matter and other impurities. This enema also balances the pH of the colon and it is very useful for constipation. Instructions: Add the juice of three lemons to 2 quarts of lukewarm distilled water. I recommend you to avoid very cold or very warm water. Place the solution in an enema bag. You can use vitamin E Oil to lubricate the tip of the enema bag; simply squeeze the liquid onto the tip. Alternatively, you can also use Aloe vera gel. Insert the liquid in the anus and roll onto your back, then roll over and lie on your left side. I suggest you to massage your colon to help eliminate the fecal matter. Hold the solution in your body for about four minutes, then expell the liquid. To relieve constipations, I suggest you to use this lemon juice enema once a week. If you are allergic to lemons, you can prepare the enema solution with two ounces of Wheatgrass Juice or 1 once of liquid garlic extract in 2 quarts of distilled water. Mild diarrhea or gas following the enema can be relieved by eating yogurt or a packet of colonic flora pills, available at most drugstores. Tip: The rectal tube used for infusion of the enema solution should be smooth and flexible to decrease the possibility of damage to the mucous membrane that lines the rectum. Avoid enemas if you have irritable bowel syndrome, colitis or any other intestinal problem. Related Articles: Coffee Enema Stool Softner Return from "Homemade Enema" to "What causes Constipation" |
