Herbal Cleanse

For centuries human beings have used herbs for detoxification.
In Europe, people gathered the spring greens dandelion, watercress and chicory to help the body ris itself of stored toxins.
The Native Americans used echinaceato detoxify the poisons injected into the body by beast or enemy.

Today, the toxins have changed but using herbs to get toxins out of the body is an accepted practice.

Most people who are in general good heath can benefit from an herbal cleansing.
Cleansing the bowel and the digestive tract periodically will help ensure that nutrients will be more efficiently absorbed and properly utilized by the body.

Herbs have three major properties:
  • they activate the body
  • they cleanse the body
  • they build the body

  • Cleansing is the first step before to build or protect your body with herbs.
Hundreds of different herbs are useful in detoxifiyng the body.
Generally, a combination of herbs can work sinergistically for best results.

The herbs work on the organs of elimination, since those are often clogged and diseased with toxic accumulations.Often, herbs with antimicrobial effects are a necessary part of the cleansing process since microbes are toxins and their presence can cause chronic illness such as yeast infections, bladder infections, colds etc...

I suggest the following herbs for a total herbal cleanse:

  • Dandelion Root: Dandelion is used primarily to remove accumulated toxic substances from the body.
  • Echinacea: is one of the most potent herbs that support the immune system with anti-biotic, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Milk Thistle: is extremely effective, affordable, well studied, and it is associated with many benefits in the detoxification process.
  • Ginseng: a known medicinal herb that has the ability to cleanse toxins in our body.
  • Burdock Root: Traditionally used as a blood purifier and general system tonic.
  • Astragalus: has been used as an herbal tonic for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine and in Native American.
  • Fennel: is a herb that relieves colic, gas and disconfrot in the digestive tract.
  • Sarsaparilla: is high in selenium, chromium, cobalt, iron and zinc; it also contains significant amounts of calcium and magnesium.
  • Hoodia: contains several nutraceutical components that help suppress the appetite.
  • Pau Darco: offers different therapeutic applications as an anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial agent.
  • Activated Charcoal: is reknowned for its ability to adsorb toxins in the gastrointestinal tract, so, it is very usefulf or a detoxification program.
  • Oregano Oil: can be an effective treatment against some drug resistant bacterial infections.
