The" egg grapefruit diet diet" promises a significant weight loss, between 5 and 7 pounds but it should be observed for no longer than 14 days; the daily caloric intake is too low (between 800 and 1000 calories) to be sustained for too long by anyone. On long term basis , this diet can have side effects on the body.

Warning:grapefruit and grapefruit juice can interact with some medications used for controlling cholesterol, depression, anxiety, HIV/AIDS, allergies and high blood pressure, making them ineffective or causing side effects.
