Easy Apple RecipesEasy Apple Recipes can be very useful for your Detox Diet. Apples are a high fiber fruit with insoluble cellulose and lignin in the peel and soluble pectins in the flesh. Apples contain malic acid and tartaric acid, that can help prevent disturbances of the liver and digestion. The proverb "An apple a day keeps the doctor away.", dates from the 19th century Wales. Research suggests that apples may reduce the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer. The most nutritious way to serve apples is fresh and unpared, to take advantage of the fiber in the peel and preserve the vitamin C, wich is destroyed by the heat of cooking. The following are my sugested easy apple recipes that you can incorporate in your detox diet. You can easily make apple juice with your Juicer; Simply push a lemon through your juicer right before you begin juicing your apple. Wash and peel 2 carrots and cut into small pieces, steaming for about 15 minutes, or until tender. Combine apples and carrots in a food processor or blender and purée for about 30 seconds. Add 10 tablespoons of apple juice, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture is smooth. Prehead the oven to 350° F. Wash the apples, removing removing the top core. Pour some water into a small baking dish, then place the apples in the center. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the apples are completely cooked. Ingredients: Put all ingredients into a large pot. Cover and ring to boil. Lower heat and boil for 20-30 minutes. Remove from heat. Take away cinnamon sticks and lemon peels. Purée with potato masher.
