Constipation in Children![]()
Don't worry if your children do not go to the bathroom every day. If your constipated child is between six months and twelve months of age and recently has started cow's milk, I suggest you to return to previous formula. If your child is eating solid foods and has problem with constipation, the first thing to do is to follow a healthy diet rich in fiber. This include prunes, apricots, plumes, raisins, peas, beans, broccoli, and whole grain cereals. The toxins in modern life are ingested by many children with food, with the breath or the water they drink; these toxins, often have a delayed deleterious effect on the body and they can cause problems that will manifest only in adulthood such as immune disorders, chronic constipation, heart disease, reduced mental capacity and emotional or behavioral disorders. Parents have the responsibility to ensure that children follow a healthy, balanced diet. Childrent must first become accustomed from an early age to eat lots of fruits and vegetables from organic farms;in this way even children can safely eat the peel, which is the most rich in vitamins and especially fiber, the true ally against constipation. It is also important to drink plenty of water. Children should not drink soft drinks or fruit juices, often immensely rich in sugars and dyes. Accustom children to drink water only or tea, sweetened with a little honey. In addition to improving nutrition, parents should encourage children to healthy physical activity. Sport help to eliminate stress from school and to burn calories and draining toxins. A walk a day helps to maintain and activate the intestine and it prevents constipation in children. Warning: never give your child a laxative without your doctor's advice.
