Alkaline Diet Foods?
alkaline diet foods

Nutritionists and scientists all over the world belive the body works best on a diet high in alkaline-forming foods.
In the simple terms, these foods give alkaline elements when broken down from the digestion and they represent the key to really cleanse and detoxify your body.

You should take at least 80% of alkalizing foods, like green vegetables or grasses, and never more than 20% of neutral and acidifying foods.

The alkaline diet foods are:

  • All fruits fresh and dried except large prunes and plumes unless they are mixed with cereals.
  • All Fresh vegetables except legumes, such as beans and lentils.

  • Keep in Mind:A Diet composed only of alkaline foods is justified only is you are suffering from serious health problems. As a general rule, I suggest you to increase gradually the alkaline foods in your diet, according to your body's natural capacity to maintain its acid / alkaline balance.

Test Strips are easy to use and formulated to measure the PH level of your saliva or urine in just seconds.
    ph test strips

Simply wet the pH strip with urine or saliva. This should be done first thing in the morning before eating or drinking. The pH strip turns a variation of colors that can then be compared to a chart that indicates whether or not your alkaline-acid level is balanced. When too much acid is being stored in the body, it shows up.
A number below 7 means that your urine is on the acid side. The lower the number, the more acidic the condition. Seven indicates a neutral state, neither acid nor alkaline. The ideal urine reading should be between 6.5 to 7.5, and saliva readings should be between 7.0 to 7.5.

To select foods ensuring a correct balance of acidifying and alkalizinf foods, I suggest to read the following guidelines:
  • Always choose a meal consisting not only of acidifying foods but also of alkaline diet foods.
  • The alkalizing foods in your meal should be greater, proportionally, than the amount of acidifying foods.
  • Don't eat fruit and vegetables together.
  • Allow four hours between meals.
